    ...I think. I'm not very good at the ID on these. This was another shot from Ft. DeSoto last October during one of James Shadle's seminars....

    Amy, I think it's a Willet. Very nice as presented, good exposure and compo, next tme wait for the head to be in the clear of the surf, if at all possible.

    Nice photograph of a Willet. I like the forground wave, and the water splashing against the leg. Looks like a slight CCW rotation may be in order :-)

    Yes, indeed, it is a Willet. They are very plain and very gray/brown when sporting their non-breeding season plumage. The low angle is very nice on this one, Amy!
