A while back I posted a different image of these cool egrets feeding and courting. Their ballet went on for a long time and this was one of my favorite poses. I set the f/stop to 11 in order to insure enough DOF to keep both birds in focus. Mark III, 500mm lens. No exposure comp.

Cool interaction, great light and details. I only wish for a lower angle if that was an option.

Great interaction and nice job with the DOF! Too bad we didn't get a chance to meet in July, but I'll be down your way sometime this winter. Perhaps then!

This is beautiful, Susan. Great interaction and excellent exposure and details. My only nit is the strong bg line where the beach meets the water- but I know that could not be helped. Hope to see something like this someday!

Great interaction, exposure and sharpness, wish the BG was uniform, but I'd be happy to have this in my files :)

    Hi Susan,
Great pose, exposure and colors. Must have been fun to watch. I'm seeing some artifact (healing brush?) in the ULC just above the water line and above the head of the bird on the right.
