This was taken in extreme fog from a pitching boat. I am not quite sure how I should have handled it. It was hard to get anything in focus as I was just trying not to hit anyone in the head with a long heavy lens. I had to do some contrast and curves work and I cropped part of the wave off the bottom. I guess, if nothing else, these shots are good for PS practice.

Hi Carole: Under the circumstances you did a great job of capturing the essense of sophistication and "Who are you." I think the photo is a story teller as photos should be . . . Isn't it great to be adventurous, and able to recount the day you had . . . I think I would name him "Marvin" . . . . Thanks for sharing . . Uncle Gus :D

Hi Carole: As you said a good image to practise PS on. I love this guy aka "Bad Guy" I first ran Artie's Workflow from his "Digital Basics Download." With free updates it's a great buy and fits in with his other CD's and book. Anyway, I ran his workflow, small crop & converted it to B&W . . . An experiment . . Uncle Gus

Great capture Carole. Do agree with Nonda, I also like the original post better. IMO.

I'm not a fan of B&W seal images but the re post sure works !!! Great going Gus !!!

Carole When working from a pitching boat you want a couple of things going for you ... the first is as much shutter speed as you can have and second frame loosely !!! Much better to crop afterwards than cut part of the image !!!!

Another vote for the original, Carole. I have a picture in my mind of you nervously watching your lens pitch around in the boat with you on the other end.
