This was taken this week at Green Cay where this little Juvie was being urged by the parents to fly. It was quite wonderful to watch and they are so beautiful . Unfortunately most of the time was spent on the boardwalk railing so it was difficult to get a clear image.

Love it Judy! Perfect head turn and great feather detail. BG is a bit dark but I think it works here.

Judy, Myself I like the dark BG, along with the super capture! Our nesting LTs here in Maine have a hard time and this wet Summer wiped out the second try for 3 pair after the skunks, foxes etc. got the 25 nests of the fist round in one night.

Like everything about this one: teh BGR, EXP, sharpness, and the crop and COMP. Was this one sitting on the railing? Do they breed at Green Cay itself?

Thanks Artie for your comments. Tthey are always so welcome and appreciated.

This juvie was resting on the railing and I did attempt to get him in flight the one time he flew off but was not successful. To answer your question on weather they nest at Green Cay I am not sure but will try to find out. Yesterday there were quite a number of lesat terns but I had not seen many on previous trips there. Agaon many thanks Artie.

Great pose, composition and details. BG and exposure control look good, too.
