    Default Great White Pelican

    Canon EF f4 600m L IS USM l Canon EOS 1D MkIIN
    ISO200 l f8 l 1/2000, Aperture Priority l handheld l cropped

Still cannot upload images to BPN so used outside server. :(
This image is from my recent birding trip to the Danube Delta, Romania which I enjoyed a lot.
The sweet lights was over at the time of photographing but I am satisfied to have this as my 600 + 1D MkIIN was handheld in a boat on a wavering lagoon.

    Comments are welcomed.

    Cheers, Szimi

PS: unfortunately the colors is not that vivid, after Saving for web, as I see it before. :( Something need to be adjusted to match with the color profile of Safari... Any advice?

I like the wing position and details and wish the bird would have flown toward you. As for colors you could check out this recent thread. I hope this helps: http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=16910

Nice wing position and sharpness. It's not easy to hand hold the big glass on a moving boat! I'd like to see an angle that isn't quite so steep here, and I'd like a bit more eye contact. The sky looks pretty vivid on my laptop; it appears to be a little blotchy too. Perhaps some NR. Thanks for posting!
