    Hi Uncle Gus,
Very artistic - the B/W has a lot of potential too I think!

i really like the treatment uncle gus!! nice job.....one thing that sticks out to me is the shadow under the branch at the tail of the bird. dont know if you could get rid of it, but i think it would help.

    Hi Harold:

Thanks for your opinion. That is a leaf, and I think your idea is right on. :)
    What do you think now?

AHH, well i do like what you did, but it wasnt what i was talking about.:) it's the area where the tail intersects the branch. right under the branch..see that dark strip? it's actually on the tail of the bird. that's the one i was talking about.

as far as removing the leaf, some might say it added to the compo. i'm fairly neutral there, but i do like the simplicity of not having it. nice job with the removal!!!

Lets try this . . . However, sketch was accomplished using 3 layers, desaturate, invert, color dodge, and final sketch with gaussian blur adjustment to accomplish final drawing. Later adjustments are all by hand of mine that is not as good . . . However, it's fun . . . Uncle Gus

Really nice, Gus. You should think about checking out Fab's tutorial on hand painting an image and give that a try next!
