After having a sun shoot with this juvenile yellow crown last week,
I was given the eye.....both barrels. I had some with perfectly vertical neck,
but the tilt added to the behavior IMO

    Thanks for c/c

Dave, My only issue: would love to see the bill a bit to the birds left. Bob

Dave I really like the angle of this image that allow us to see both eyes straight on. Normally I would like to see the beak away from the body but in this image it all works for me. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi Dave,

What a cool image you have here. The eyes are extremely sharp and you did well with DOF. I have to agree with Judy but the eyes are the key in this image.

    Works for me Dave!

Wow, those eyes really pop! I too like the little cocked angle of the neck. Great image!

I really like the way this guy is looking at the camera, but I would like to see the image a bit more saturated.

Hi Dave, the detail is striking and I really like the fact you can see both eyes, but I just have a problem with the beak being lost in the neck detail.

The eyes are the bomb and the SAT looks fine to me. Had it worked out that the bill were either set against the light BKGR or perfectly centered on the bird's neck, the image would have been stronger. I do love the BKGR and you did a good job with the EXP; many folks would underexpose this one.

The eyes make this one for me. Light, details and BG are great, too. Position of the bill has been mentioned.
