    Default Paddyfield Pipit

This was photographer during my very first outing with the new lens. I lay flat on the ground and waited for the bird to approach me. These are ground birds and will come to you if you wait. The ground was uneven and it was in a small depression. Hence was able to get this kind of a foreground and background. The leg and tail cut is unfortunate, but then I like the DOF which I have got here.

I used the shadow/highlight tool to get some details in the bird as there was side lighting.

    Appreciate your comments.

Great angle and BG. I wish for more head turn toward you.

Beautiful lighting and low angle and a killer BG. I agree with the above comments on a little more head turn. Congratulations on your new lens !

Perhaps a little fill flash would of helped this image but with the 800 plus 1.4 I don't think you were going to get anything out of it. Great low angle!

Light angle was not ideal. Not sure I like the lit eyebrow combined with shaded eye. Good patience on your part to get the bird close :-)

This is absolutely lovely image Sudhir. Excellent details & sharpness.
Might have liked a bit of room (just a bit) on the left side.
