    Canon 20D Canon 180mm macro plus 1.4TC
    ISO 200
    1/250 sec @ f10
    I was trying to capture the back-light effect so I didn't use fill in flash as I normally do. I am thinking maybe I should have, all comments are welcome.

    Jon, I think you did a good job with it...you might want to select just the butterfly and give it a slight lighten. I like how you can see through the wings but it would be nice to also see them a bit brighter. Lovely composition - nice use of the space!

    Its a beautiful butterly & very well captured by you. The back-lit look translucent exposing the beautiful texture. Guess I wud'nt change a thing with respect to levels/exposure. I would not opt for a flash either. Just like it this way.
    May be I would wish for some more DOF (to render the tip of the wings sharp) but I understand that u wud've had to compromise with the BG in that case...
