    We photographed this hippo at last light in the Okavango Delta.

    IDS Mark III, 500IS w/1.4x, handheld on boat
    Manual, spot off grass (no comp), 1/500 @ f/5.6, ISO 800 w/ high-ISO noise reduction on.
    Post-production- ARC, CS3, full frame

    Seems like you've been shooting the light again Chas! I love the 2 other hippos in the frame...they certainly add to this moment. I agree with Vincent that teeth would have nice :-)

    Chas - I like the low angle you got as well as the background and composition. Do only the males have the big canines? - I thought they all had them.
