Default No filter for 14-24 Nikkor lens - what's then?

Ho do you guys working with the Nikkor 14-24 lens when photographing landscapes?
As no filter is attachable to this superb lens there is no chance to have e.g. a polarizing filter.
    Any advice?

Not sure what you could do about a polarizing but for the rest just use the Singh-Ray which come in 4x6 size and can hold up in front of lens. Prefer the larger filters rather than the Cokin sizes

the other thing you could try, is to use gaffers tape to tape the polarizer or grad filter to the lens.

If you need to polarize, use a different lense. Holding a filter in front will not work too well due to light leakage from the sides since you can't hold the filter flush against the lense.

Normally I don't need to polarize I just thought to get nice landscape images when photographing sky.
However I am not sure I need it at all. Guess there are technics to get nice blue skies :)

At such a wide angle I wouldn't polarize......as the effect will be different throughout the photograph (i.e. left side dark blue sky, right side no polarizing effect).I miss my ND-grads on this lens though...

Great lens but lack of ability to put a filter on it is a major drawback for me. I use Lee filters and can handhold the grads in front of the lens but this is not the ideal method.
