    Default Lady Andromeda

Meet Lady Andromeda; an exotic extraterrestial from the Andromeda Nebula Galaxy; located about 2.5 million light-years away... This enchanted beauty came to live in Pops garden last year when some star dust from a passing comet sprinkled in the garden. Lady Andromeda comes to life at mid-night; lighting up the flower beds under the moon light.

This exotic beauty was painted with a Nikon D200, using a Nikkor 105mm f/2.8D macro lens and a 36mm extension tube.

Note: This capture is a double exposure of three frames with a variation of f-stops from f/2.8; f/3.5, and f/5.6; using a constant shutter speed of 1/30sec. The ISO factor varied from 100, 200, and 320.

Image solution: focal lenght @ 105mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / metering mode - a combination of in camera matrix metering and external hand held spot meter on two anchor points for balanced lighting. /
white balance @ cloudy / AF - mode @ manual / color space @ sRGB / lighting solution - no speedlight; used three 24" 40 watt fluorescent black light tubes; two of them angled at 45 degrees, and the third one positioned from the top with a 24" defuser panel in front. A 2 watt xenon pen light with an attached cone defuser was used in conjunction with a yellow gelitan filter angled at 90 degrees from the back to create the white / yellow glow. The room was pitch black. / exposure comp @ +1.7EV / tone comp @ 1 degree / hue adjustment @ +1 degree / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / support platform - tripod assist / cable trigger release

    Comments greatly appreciated...

It is really hard to comment on your images Gus. One runs out of superlatives after a while. This truly is amazing.
