    Hi Cindy,
I really like the pose of this one with the head turn and back legs in motion. The sloping prairie in the BG adds to this as well. A great representative image of this animal in its environment. I think I see some bluish/magenta cast around the eyes and outer mane but since my monitor isn't calibrated i can't be sure.

Hi Cindy, really like the way the bison is shown in its environment which really helps me put it in perspective as we do not have anything like these in the UK :)

I take it that its not advised to get shots of these on foot outside of a vehicle with a wideangle lens :)

Love the low agle you got from the car. Clean and well composed and with an impressive specimen.

Thanks to all for your comments.

Tell, it usually is better to stay in your vehicle, depending on the distance away. Not that most tourists follow this advise! I was lucky here that there weren't other cars around, so that I could move to get the angle/perspective I wanted. There are often "bison jams' in Yellowstone during the summer, making it impossible to move through traffic or get the best images.

Boy, did this image bring back memories! What a stunning, highly-detailed image.
