Taken a few weeks ago from Alberto's Long Key rookery. I'm hoping the HAP won't send me away on this one.

Oh Oscar, I think your HA is much better than mine, in fact, I don't see anything wrong with the head angle here. I wonder if you could have gotten the bill in focus with little different f stop. You guys in florida sure do get close!.

Hey Oscar - NO HAP for this one buddy - looking good. Great HA and eye contact.

Does look a little soft - some more sharpening to the nird maybe, would also crop some off the top I think.

Well done - ohh to be able to get that close :)

    Hi Oscar,
I like the composition, but the bird could use more of a clock wise rotation. The tip of the bill is not on the same focal plane; thats why its out of focus at the tip. The head angle is a little off. Besides that, all in all I like it...:D:cool:

Who's looking for HAP, you Oscar or the big bird? :)

I like the colors of the photo. And I agree with others in a way that this photo could use a smaller aperture to get more DOF.

    Hi Oscar,
I think you should hire this bird to be your HAP lookout - with that long neck he would certainly see them coming...;)
Nice capture, all points covered above.
    Regards,
    Nicki

Hi Oscar you are safe for the HAP !!!! .................................................. .............but what about the HP? ..... COBP?

The halo police is tracking you as we speak, there is a strong one around the neck ...... and the Cast Over Bird Police has you under investigation for a color cast !!! Seems a little blueish

Real nice clean image I like how you lined up for the bg !!! For these I would agree on stopping down a little, using the 2.0X is always a good idea and from the dof point !!! There is nothing in the bg to worry about so stop it down !!! Would crop a little more to tighten the image I like it a lot !!!!

Oscar, you've just been getting beat to a bloody pulp lately! ;) Hey, I like the guy - although I do agree with everything Al said. Check your color balance and crop it a little tighter and then write down in your diary tonight "August 12th: Got one past the HAP but got stopped for COBP instead." :D:D:D
