    This was taken when the burrowing owl was still active in our area. It has since moved on but thoroughly enyoyed the few days he was with us.

    I like the composition and pose and only wish for a bit wider DOF to have the leg in focus, too. Makes me wonder what he was looking at. :)

    I like the brown hues and focused eyes on this one Judy. They're very attuned to flying objects aren't they.

    This is different. Most of the times the bird looks directly into the camera, but here I like the way it is looking up. Too bad about the shadow in the eye. The exposure and details are nice, but probably you could have improved on the DOF, with the leg not so sharp. I see the ground as the background, a lower eye level angle could have been better. And ofcourse, the one leg pose has a lot of impact in this image.

    Judy a beautiful image here. I've never seen these cute little owls.

    The background is nicely OOF so if you increased your DOF to sharpen the leg it might negatively affect the OOF background as well.
