Just back from a holliday in Spain, could make great shots of many different species, so that's a lot of work to put on my website :( :)

Here a flying Griffon Vulture, just cropped it from 3:2 to 4:3 so you can imagine how impressiveit was.

Hi Lesley! It's an impressive looking bird with a monster wingspan. The angle of the sun is less than ideal here. I'd like to see a little more underwing detail (might not have shot at -2/3), and the shadow across the head and neck is a bit distracting. Also, I would sharpen the head. Thanks for posting, and look forward to more of your photos from Spain.

Great wingspan with a neat background. Shame on the light angle. Keep them coming!

Love the flight pose in this image but agree with the above comments on the lighting. Many thanks for sharing Lesley and keep them coming.

Nice position in the frame but a huge need for the head to be sharpened.

The flight angle has been well captured. The shadow cutting across is a bit distracting. Front lighting would have looked good. I am not sure about the corner blue patch. That takes away the attention from the subject. And yes, some more sharpness on the head would have been great.

thanks for your comments, I forgot to sharpen (oops), hereby a the same picture but sharpened.
I also did lighten up the shadow a bit, but I know the light isn't to good.

I'm still busy selecting my holiday photo's, if I see one with better light I'll show you.

    kind regards Lesley
