One of the most agile and restless birds that we find here in India. It was a bright sunny day, clear skies and this one perched on the twig. The blue background makes this image for me. May be a little bit of DOF would have been better, but then I had just got this lens last winter and was still trying out few things with it.

    Canon EOS 30D, Canon 300 F2.8L IS USM + Canon 2x, ISO 125, 1/1000s. F5.6

Pramod, Nice one. I would try a bit lower contrast. I would like the sky a bit lighter shade. Your shot is sharp. You could have increased the aperture for higher dof.

I like the details and eye contact and would prefer a lower angle. You could try to decrease contrast, lighten the image and maybe desaturate the blues a few points. Thanks for sharing!

I like the sharpness for an image that's shot wide open with a doubler. I agree with all of Axel's suggestions here. Here's a repost. Thanks for posting!

Did not see Doug's repost. This one was a 5 second Levels adjustment. The ORIG was simply way to dark.

ps: Doug's with the de-SAT looks much better than this.

Thanks every one for correcting me in terms of the PP. Will keep the contrast thing in mind.
