this is a spot i found this morning.....got bored sitting around the house so i went exploring down in miami. lets see if the miami crew can figure out where this is!!:D this is a total makeover for this scene. it was very bland with not much character so i made my own!! did i go overboard? actually taken at midday with overcast skys.

    D300 with 18-200VR at 18mm, f/16, 1/250s, 0EV, ISO 200

post processing was done in capture nx. dont ask me what i did! i did quite a bit. really though, if you want to know just ask. i'd be glad to explain it!!

I like it..me thinks you need just a tich of CCW rotation. I wonder too what building on the 'blue' theme would look like? I so like blue.

Yes MR H - you should have called me too :) :) :)

I dot know - I think id like to see some contrast rather than just all one colour - really just thinking aloud - maybe the water left blue.

    :)

Hey buddy, WHY DIDEN'T YOU CALL ME???:( For this, you get twenty lashes...:p:):D The orange hues are a wee bit too wild for me; maybe its old age...:D Tone down the orange or perhaps experiment with the various filters in PS.

    Harold,

Didn't you know you MUST call your fellow BPN members when you cross the border into Miami. You could get your privileges revoked. Look forward to getting together.... Richard

is this better? when doing something like this, i should have walked away from it for a couple of days and come back to it. i agree it is too much. i desaturated the entire image, brightened and added contrast. i actually like it better. how bout you? thanks for the comments and many apologies to my miami friends:)

    Hi Harold,
Yes, much better - the first one looked as if the orange had had a caffeine boost!!! :D:D:D

Now see Harold...if you had posted this in OOTB nobody would have yelled at you! :D Okay, maybe Al...

Although it is HIGHLY saturated I like the original. However...I like the repost even better. I bet this would be lovely if you took it another step towards sepia/brown and left the orange as the undertone.

    Nice composition BTW. :)
