    This was taken at Loxahatchee a month ago when the whistling ducks were quite active and was captured as it approached the wetalands.

    Very pretty shot Judy! In particular I love the pose! I would remove the partially obstructed purple flower touching the wing.

    Nice pose, Judy. I didn't know the whilsting ducks were visiting Loxahatchee this year.
    In this case the pickerelweed flowers don't really add much to the comp. I would remove them both.

    On the other hand, if the flowers please you, I would clone in a few more just for balance's sake. One is the lonliest number.

    Lovely light and pose, Judy. All I can add would be a larger aperture to blur out the BG more which would isolate the subject better

    I love the wing position.

    The one purple flower below the wing is a little distracting.

    that is one cool wing position you captured there!!! agree with doug about the eviction of the one flower touching the wing. also wondering what a few cloned in would look like. then again, i think the bird is so strong here you dont need all the extra frilly stuff!!:D
