Default Really small flash for Canon 1D cameras?

Can someone recommend a really small flash for Canon 1D cameras? Sometimes I want to travel lighter and the big 580 class flashes are just too large. I realize I would be giving up capability, but it's better than nothing.

Hard to imagine traveling light with a 1D series, but the Metz 28AF-3 is tiny
(fits in a shirt pocket) and has enough punch for 10 feet or so. It works
    with the Canon flash automation.

    Around $125 - try Amazon or B&H.

    Hi Tom.
Thanks for the suggestion. I ended up buying the Canon 220EX. Sometimes every little bit of weight savings helps. For example, soon I'll be on a small plane into the back country of Alaska with a 50-pound baggage limit. With a 1DII, 500 f/4, CF tripod and Wimberly, there is not much weight left for clothes let alone a flash!
