    I have two passions in my life - God and photography. I realized yesterday while working on this image that they have one very important thing in common...they both get you looking for the light. :D

    For this image, I darkened an already dark BG and then went to render/light effects and chose an omni light to sit behind the front wings of the butterfly. Then I set my opacity to 15% and lightly masked a small area around the outline of the butterfly to barely separate him from the BG.

    Wow, that is really nice. I love the BF, that is one tremondous effect, it looks like there is a small hot spot in the wings. The light area along the stem I find a bit distracting, more so the wider, lower part.

    I love Omnl light, Jules and use quite often. It can also be used in your regular work flow at a low opacity.

    Good composition and capture. The lighting here is superb...:cool:
