i'm kind of riding on a high from last submission. i didn't know if the "bar" was too much of a hand of man to submit.
i also need to know if i separated the bird from its background enough. is the bird color too close to the background color.

If you want more "separation", you can blur the background a bit more and sharpen the bird, too. Before you forget, try to lower the brightness of those bright spots in the background, too. I think it would look better if there were more room at the top and less at the bottom.

Thanks Desmond. i'll try blurring more and will try to get rid of the hot spot at the bird's head.

Hi Mike Doing much better Getting closer to the bird and the quality shows

Good pose, ha and exposure. Would try getting rid of the bright spot behind the head and on the ul corner. Anything that bright will take your eye from the subject Would also increase the contrast a bit Will repost

By far the sharpest bird photo I've seen from you Mike! Well done.

Very nice, Mike! I definitely think Al is right in that you need to clone out those bright spots. If you want the BG to disappear more, pull down the contrast and give it a soft blur. There's so much you can do with an image once you get the basics right!

Mike, I agree with the above. This is the sharpest bird I've seen, and the pose is really good. House finces are kind of a domesticated bird, so the bar doesn't bother me. The repost is good. I think the faster shutter speed helped here.
