Got my computer back, and over half way to restoring everything. What took the most time was re-activating CS3 as I had 2 hard drives go in 2008, and as I didn't deactivate my previous installations due to not thinking of doing it on the phone I had to wait and activate it this morning.
Took the photo of Hawk Mountain from the west on a slightly stormy night with a nice sunset. Then I took a photo of the sunset, and used it for the background of the mountain. Then used the head from a Harris's Hawk I had taken about a mile north of here.
I'm faced with a few options I couldn't make up my mind about so it will be interesting to see what comments I receive . . . TIA . . . Uncle Gus :D
cool idea uncle gus!!!! two things that stick out to me right of the bat are 1) would love to see the red sky to the right of the birds head, and 2) the foreground elements are not well defined therefore being slightly distracting......could clone them out or crop a little higher to eliminate them. i vote for evicting them to preserve the current crop. will be interesting to hear other ideas but i like the direction you are going in!!! nice job!!
Thanks Harold: When I scroll it down and cut out the bottom, I think your idea is great. I was thinking along the idea of a Pano too . . . Best . . . Uncle Gus
IAC, it does need more room on top. The crop from the bottom is much better.

Thank you very much for looking at my creation. Photos were taken in Green Valley in an area known as Elephant head on the south border of Green Valley at the base of Mt. Hopkins. . . . Uncle Gus
Hi Folks: Early morning adjustments per ideas presented by you kind folks, added to top and bottom. As in the TV Show . . . "Final answer" . . . . . . Now for Olympics . . . Uncle Gus :D

Hi Artie: Thanks your comment spurred me on. Thought I answered where "Hawk Mountain" was above? However, the name came from an aged fertile imagination. The location portrayed is The Elephant Head area at the base of Mt. Hopkins where the peak shown looks like an Elephant head to some of us . . . Gus :D
BTW: Noticed you are finally getting "The Art of Photography" book reprinted and delivered. Great news!
The third times the charm, Gus! What a great vision you had! So glad to see you revised the crop and carried the sky all the way across. You've got one dramatic pano now!
