    This is the only photo of a hummer where I captured this in action. I thought it was unique in that way. Perhaps not artistically inspiring, but kind of cool ;)

    Not bad! Good eye contact and I like the background I've not tried flahs set-ups, yet. I'll get around to it...so much to learn, so little time. I love Hummingbirds. You are so lucky to have a variety of species in AZ. Could this be a Buff-Bellied? The lower mandible looks red.
