    Default Coldness (Little Egret)

Taken last summer about 30 minutes after sunset ..... due to low light I was experimenting with long exposures ....waiting for some action .....Little egret shakes and that was it

    Critiques are welcome !
    Kind regards.

The image is astonishing for me! - I would never thought of experimenting with such values. The cold blue tones of the BG contrasts to the white innocent egret resulting in an interesting and exciting image.

Great idea and well done. I like the angle, composition, colors and wing blur. There is a little bit of banding in the BG.

Hi Marko, well done! I tried the same thing, with a little egret, standing in the water, looking out for fish. But it was very difficult, because there was always a slight movement in the bird and I have only few pictures, where the bird is sharp enough. And there was a little bit too much light too.
So I know the difficulties to get the picture we wanted to :-)) and yours is really good!

Good looking image, sharp where it need to be and very moody. Did you alter the white balance at all, or is it the color of the cold?
Nothing against, just curious, since we don't have that blue here so close to the tropics.

Glad that you like it !
It is not the color of cold :)....but blue is cold color....:)
I used color balance in PS to emphasize the cold , blue tone ....

Wonderful as above, and great sharpness on the eye. The head is facing slighlty away, and I wish that the far wing has been raised a bit so that the head were not so lost in the dark BKGR. I do love the mood.

Way to go. And later and love, artie

I like this alot....it almost seems as if the bird is in moonlight with the deep blue colors of the bg. The face and eye are sharp, and it is a very appealing image. Well done!

The colors and mood are extraordinary! Nice job to keep your gear out so late after sunset...that allowed you to do create a truly memorable image. Continue to experiment!
