    Canon 10D
    EF 75-300 IS @ 210mm
    EX 550 Fill flash set to -2.5
    ISO 400
    1/60 sec @ F4.5

    I feel that i needed more depth of field on this one and Ishould have upped my shutter speed to stop the movement or does the blur of the wings add motion?

    Chris, I really like the blue/gray colors! Water looks quite cool! I don't mind the blurred wings, but a bit more shutter speed would have helped with the rather soft (way it looks here) head and body. Would be tempted to crop a bit off the top I think.

    Agree with Nonda ..... is a mater of shutter speed not dof here !!!

    They do like to shake while bathing but even the selected ss would be marginal for the lens used Remember noise is better than soft !!!! I do lie the pose colors and feel !!!!

    Agree with the above comments - I think that a square crop would be nice.

    Definitely a shutter speed issue here. Always guess that the bird will be doing some movement and increase that SS so you can catch whatever he throws your way.
