Mountain goat kid, near Logan Pass, Glacier National Park. The snow wasn't very pretty at this point, but I still liked young one resting here.

    Canon 40D, 1/2000, f/6.3, ISO 160, 100-400 zoom at 275.

Nice one. There is a bright patch of snow near the kids face. A lower angle would have helped. The top right hand corner has a patch not covered with snow. You may crop that to have a complete snow background.

Thanks for your comments, Sabyasachi. I had debated about the bright patch, but none of the values are close to 255, so I left it - waiting to get input from others. I had forgotten to clone out the brown patch on this version.

On my monitor, I am not seeing a very bright patch that is distracting. I think I can tell what Sabyasachi is referring to, but to me it is just a larger drift that is smooth - however it does have detail. It might be a matter of monitor calibration???

I wouldn't mind seeing it cropped in a little more overall - maybe just because I want to see the kid's eye detail more clearly.

I like the feel of the image alot. To me the brown patch of the rock in the upper RHC bothers me more than the bright snow near the kid. I would like to see just snow.. Great pose by the baby...

Thanks for your comments, Amy and Robert. Cropping and/or getting rid of the rock are easy enough to fix.
