    Default Indian Pond Heron

    I found this pond heron in a small pond filled with algae. Hence the green colour background in the image. This was photographed using the car window base as support.



    Canon EF 800mm + 1.4xII on Canon 1D Mark III
    ISO 400, 1/800 @ f8, Evaluative Metering at Zero.

    Lovely colours and background, Sudhir. Agree with Axel on headangle - I think for a frontal to work well you need to be really close so the eyes are a big feature. Monster lens!

    Lovely and sharp. I am OK with the head angle. Would only get rid of the two greenish blobs to our left of the bird's neck. Simply done with a QM.

    Amazing colors and BG. Maybe a Little fill flash would help the shadows.
