    Meet Miss Lady Violet. Lady Violet was painted with a Nikon D200, using a Nikkor 200mm f/4D macro lens; with a 12mm extension tube.

    Image solution: focal length @ 200mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / metering mode - combination of in camera matrix and hand held spot meter with three anchor points for light balance. / ISO @ 200 /
    1/30sec. - f/4.2 / white balance @ cloudy / color space @ sRGB / AF- mode @ manual / lighting solution - no speedlight; used 36" soft box from the top with an additional defuser panel in front, and two silver umbrellas with two 250 watt strobes powered down to 1/3 lumin burst. / exposure comp @ +0.3EV / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / support platform - tripod assist /
    cable trigger release

    Hi Gus,
    This is lovely - it seems as though the stamens are bursting forth from the centre of the flower - almost as if someone is blowing a trumpet!!

    Nice one, Gus. One thing I would change is to get the front lower left corner in focus and let the DOF fall on towards the back of the flower instead of the other way around - just my opinion. Otherwise, it's a fabulous image!
