Vacations with family and photography are a comprimise. I went out a few morings and took bird pictures at the resort we were staying at on Moorea. It wasn't until the last day that we were there that i discovered they had a bird feeder. Lesson learned ask around to find out what is available.
Conditions early mornng light as the sun was coming up.

It looks like to me I needed to diffuse the flash or use -1.

    All comments appreciated.

Hi Chris you can tweak this image a lot !!! I like the bird and pose Did really well with the slow shutter speed !!!

Would try darkening the bg particularly on the right side The palm branch can have more contrast but does look interesting btw a major makeover would be moving the left bg to the right !!!!!

Very nice. I would suggest taking a bit off the bottom and making the blacks blacker in Selective Color, or maybe a contrast boost; it looks a little washed out. Love the perch and the pose. Wish that the head were angled just a bit more towards you.

Very nice, Chris; I agree, it's hard to get in some photography time when you're the only photographer on a family vacation so, well done!
