Default GBH II The Big Step

Same GBH as I encountered yesterday but out of 175+/- images this is the one I picked first. Earlier in the day and I did take out some sticks, air plants etc. and cropped (How I wish for a 500L) but sort of liked how this came out. Your comments are welcomed and I hope you like it? I purposely left 2 air plants for environment sake. I actually saw this bird put two sticks in two different places on this tree, for a nest I presume?

I like it but for the shadow on his toe. Would suggest that you get there way early to take advantage of the sweet light...

I will be there early tomorrow. Hope the bird is there and I can keep my lens clear from the moisture. :)
    Thanks Arthur,

If you keep your lens in as warm a place as possible (aside from the oven...) that should prevent any condensation. If you go from AC to hot and humid your lens will be toast...

    I love that leg stretch.

A good reminder on the lens for all of us in the hot and steamy south. I'm going to start keeping my equipment in the un-airconditioned utility room.

Almost... If you live in a hot place, like LA, best to keep the great air conditioned until the night before if you are going out in the morning or until a few hours pre-trip if you are going out in the afternoon. It is not good for the stuff to be in a hot, humid place long term...

Fantastic details in the bird. But the pose is different and interesting.
