    Default GBH--with a Sculpin

Gads--finally I am getting out a bit more, but not much around to take picutres of. This fellow was cooperative today. It actually caught the fish with its back to me--but I chirped at it and it turned around to show me the prize. :)

I like the head angle, soft light and the fish adds to it. I might sharpen the bird more and wish for a lower angle. Thanks for sharing!

    HI Bonnie,

Nice pose and low angle. Very sharp as well.

Sharpness and composition quite good. All the stuff in the water does not help. It is probably is a personal preference, but I don't like to see so much of the birds legs submerged. Its neat that you caught the bird with its prey, but it would be better if it was more visible. Thanks for posting! ~Bill

ah! Beauty! the background is soft and clean where it matters. The details, lighting, exposure, composition and pose - All go hand in hand with each other. Well executed.

Hi Bonnie! I would like to see a lower angle here, and I'm with William about the submerged legs. A little additional sharpening of the head would help.

Hi Bonnie, I'm with Sudhir: I like it, especially the soft light. Next time see if you can get the bird to turn the fish around so that you cans see the head of the fish.

I find it quite sharp, and like everything but the foam and weed in the water...not much to do about that.
