This is my first post here (though have been posting in Asia group). This was captured during the weekend. These birds are hyperactive and was good to get one which was relaxing and posed for me.I thought of cloning the back branch, but left it as it is as I liked the bird standing tall between the twigs.
Thanks for looking and appreciate your comments.
Photographed on the outskirts of Bangalore, India.

First of all, welcome to Avian, Wild and Free!! Glad you decided to post something here :-)
A very nice looking bird you have here. Judging from this image this species seems to have a spectacular plumage on its front side...wish we could see more of that, along with a better head angle. I also think you did not need to go to -2/3 EC as the resulting image is dark. I love the rich cinnamon colouring on this guy...thanks for sharing, and hoping to see more!!
Welcome to Wild and Free Sudhir! It's a beautiful bird you've decided to share with us for your first post on the forum. I have to agree with Daniel's critique. I'm envious of your 800 and it looks like you're getting really sharp stuff, even with the 1.4x. My personal preference would be to remove the branch behind the bird. Thanks for posting!
I like the bird and the pose. Way too dark. Esp. the face. Should have had + compensation, probably at least +2/3 with most MIII bodies... Enjoy the repost. A bit sloppy behind the bird but otherwise an improvement.

YAW. Actually I selectively lightened the head but realize now that I could have lightened the whole image also... Thanks for your purchase of Digital Basics. It will help!
