    I photographed this image at Fairchild Tropical Gardens with my Canon 40D on tripod. ISO 200, F/11.0, 1/20 sec, EF 100mm Macro F/2.8, No Flash, Pattern Metering, Auto WB, Auto Exposure

    Richard, I like the dark background and the fact that you can see the stem and purples behind the flowers. The flowers don't seem to have a sharp focus anywhere, which I think would help this image. I like the way the green of the flowers jumps out.

    Hi Richard Don't remember seeing these flowers? Neat !!!

    Would take just a little of the bottom I like the change in ratio Focus wise I think its on the green but its a texture difficult to see sharp !!! Might try to go the other way and soften the entire image? I like it a lot !!!!

    Richard, I really like the green and purple contrasting colors and agree with Alfred's cropping suggestion. Very nice, it has a fairyland look to it.

    Hi Richard,
    I like this because the BG looks almost like 1960's wallpaper! I also like the purple smudges on the white flowers.

    Al, The center of the flower was the focal point, but I agree that the green does not look sharp even though I used selective sharpening. Must be the color as you suggest. I love you idea of softening the entire photo, looks great. Thanks for the input. What a team!
