    Background not the greatest. He was foraging along the shoreline of a lake.

    Dave, my friend, I fear you might be needing bail money!!! What a sweet little bird - we do not have these in the UK. I like everything about this - the colours, the sharpness and the detail on the bird. My only concern is the HA and the bird could possibly be lightened just a tad.

    Hi - judging by previous comments today - I think you might just get twenty lashes :) Definetley looking the other way.

    Looks sharp, exposure looks good and nice colour saturation :)

    HAP alert!!! Like the sharpness and the exposure. Would boost contrast a bit. Thanks for posting!

    .......................................... twenty lashes it is .... had twenty one under consideration but my arm is getting sore from all the work !!!!!

    As you say tough bg Lots of eye catching elements You could try following the little guy for a break in settings ... long shot !!!

    Hi Dave, nice bird and one I've not seen before, love the yellow. The rest has already been said, I admire your dedication to the small birds, they are tough!

    Great portrait of the bird...too bad he's blowing you off! One little head turn and I'd have been loving this in a big way!
