    Since I got sick this is the first time using my new lens. Not much stiring but I was able to get this shot.

    ISO 400
    500 f4 and 1.4 ext.
    1/500 at F9
    AV mode

    I like the pose and eye contact. The setting is a bit busy. Could you post some techs? Thanks for sharing!

    I very much also like the alert pose(have shot 1,000's of these)
    Image is quite dark and lacking color IMO.....also posted in Adobe RGB.
    "converting" to sRGB will help color presentation for most browsers

    opened up a bit in levels, adjust saturation and a bit more sharpening.....all the basic items, hope this helps.
    Will be so much better with original on your end

    Also, there is a large sensor dust spot at top....and congrats on the new glass and illness recovery(?)

    wow, I just popped in here and there it is.
    The rework IMO looks wonderful and is a great improvement....what do you think?

    the shadow is very harsh to work with though

    Sharp and a nice pose but yes to too busy with fairly harsh shadows. Like the pose too. A small boost in SAT somewhere between the two reposts (thanks Dave) would be in order. The triangular shadow at the bird's neck and the curving branch that hits the bird's neck are both take away from the artistic impact of this image.
