Image created about one month ago at Kalamas river Delta, Northern Greece. I was looking for some Squacco Herons I saw there, but I only found this guy.

    Canon 1D MkIIn, Canon 500 f/4L + 1.4x II, AI-servo
    1/640, f/5.6, ISO 320, EV -1/3.

Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Great light, takeoff pose, details and setting. It needs a bit CCW rotation. Thanks for sharing!

CCW rotation already mentioned (then you'll likely need to add some room above after cropping the rotated corners off). I like the hint of splash at the feet.

    What a stunning creature!

Just a bit of rotation for the background and it's even better....and I would have been thrilled to have captured this myself.

Excellent timing. The small patch of water droplets at the foot adds to the impact of the image. Like it.
