    Default Black-Necked Stilt

Here's another from my series of Black-Necked Stilts taken this summer. I love the racket these birds make! What sets this image apart for me is the BG; the place where they live is not the most scenic of places and getting them against a nice BG is quite challenging.

I like everything about this image but wish the bird would have flown toward you.

Ditto Axel. You could try working the eye to get the red to show more.

I love this image as is. You did very well handholding the 1DM3 and the 600mm lens, even considering the very short exposure time. Nice sharp image, pleasantly diffuse background, no noise that I can detect at your ISO640 setting. This is a very helpful reference image, Doug, thanks for sharing.
