What a splendid piece of action. Regarding the framing.....I feel this is something in between.....I'd either like this see a close-up of this (I think you could have made a really cool composition if you would have chosen to go real close), or a wider shot....
I like the basic COMP, esp. the bird with the raised wings. Clipping the hooves is a big no-no...
