Great Blue Heron

From my outing Saturday morning with Dan, this Great Blue was so approachable, Taken from about 6 feet away 90 % full frame. 20D w 200 F/2.8L, F/10.0 @ 1/1250 sec. ISO 400, manual exposure. I am not a huge fan og the bg, but you take what you can get

Nice moment captured. I also like the details. It looks a bit dark on my monitor and I wish for more eye contact and would give it more room. I find the lines in the BG a bit distracting. Thanks for sharing!
