Hi Oscar - you will not be needing bail money for this one :)

Nice Bird - Like to pose - looks sharp.

looks like you have side lighting here
No details in some of those blacks though - I could be wrong but I would have been going + compensation on the exposure on this one. (and making it high key maybe)
I would also probably crop a bit off the top.

    :)

Oscar very difficult shot, bright sky as BG for a very dark bird, nicely recovered:)

No HAP for this one, Oscar but I wish there were more detail in the blacks. Love cormorants and like those webbed feet!

    Hi Oscar,
Definitely no HAP but sidelighting is always gooing to be difficult. Have you tried selectively using shadow/highlights on the area with no detail? I love the little crest and the bird's expression!! I too would crop some off the top.
    Regards,
    Nicki

...... HAP Police can make mistakes at times soooooo .... off goes Oscar straight to Jail ... not stopping at go and getting all of twenty lashes

Tough making Mr Gus look good up there since you are going at a high angle. The bird is side lit so making a high key is not an option, you did make a good exposure. The head area can't stand any more light. Fill flash is the way to go here for illuminating that rotund belly ... this doesn't seem like trim uncle Gus :) btw the sky looks a little funky !!!

Oh Oh just figured out what happen....... Oscar was not taken out by the Head Angle Police .... He was grabbed by the High Angle Police .... Same results :D:D:D:)
