    Image from this spring. Nikon D200 with AF-S VR 70-200/2.8 and 2x TC @ 400mm on Gitzo tripod. F5.6, ISO 200, 1/5000. Thanks for watching.

    Oooh, this is nice. Only thing I wish for is for the red BG to extend all the way to the bottom to put the perch more in evidence. I like the fact there is some light passing through the nostril opening - must look great full-size.

    Hi Daniel
    i like this one. fabulous colors i only wish the sun was more to the right side of the bird and not on top of it.
    perhaps some more space in front of the bird?

    I don't have anything to add other than very nice image! The color, silhouette and the orientation of the bird beneath the sun all work for me.

    Very very nice image and very nice exposure control. Subject and foreground is little dark for my taste. I would go little low to give more attention to subject.

    I am fine with the COMP but do agree with Daniel about the lower part of the sky being a bit too dark. All in all, quite lovely.

    Thanks for your kind comments. The darker area in the background is the sea and maybe a lower angle whould have helped. It gives me something to think about to next time...
