    Hi

Its very quiet here in the UK for birds at the moment with many birds in moult and waiting for the autumn migrants and return of the winter wader flocks. As a result I have currently been concentrating on photographing brown hares. So here is a photo from earlier in the year from my trip up to the Farne Islands.

Taken with 1Dmk3 and 500mm lens at F8 -1EV at ISo 200 1/400s with evaluative metering.

    cheers

I like the back view with an adequate head turn. The blacks look great, but it looks like the whites in the face could go a bit brighter. There is a darkish vertical streak in the BG, next to the bird's body, that could be taken care of. There is also a single speck of white on the back that seems to attract my attention. The crossed wings look very cool! :-)

Little more space on bottom and less on top. other than that I like exposure, eye contact and deatils. nice job.

I like the pose, details, soft light and BG. I agree on putting the bird higher in the frame and remove that bright spot in the shoulder area.
