I know this is not very good it was a long way away and getting nearer was difficult. I thought the eye might interest.

Taken in Kwando Concession, Northern Botswana 5th July 2005

    EOS 1D mkII

100-400 IS at 400m hand held.

Apparently F16, 1/250, ISO 200 I have no idea how this happened!

Lovely bird and a nice image that could be improved. EXP good. Top of the perch, unfortunate. I cropped it, fixed the perch, and opened up the shadow areas. Again, a lovely little falcon. Thanks for sharing. As for the EXP settings, been there, done that!

ps: After viewing the repost, I went back in an sharpened it a bit.

What a good looking falcon! The yellow surrounding the eye is fabulous! Artie's repost greatly improves the composition as the square crop of the original is so-so. Thanks for sharing this beautiful species!
