Late afternoon sun on Madrona Bark. A touch of blue from Puget Sound, and green from the Madrona Leaves.
Drank more coffee this morning, so I think this time I got it right, except that I cannot seem to catch the richness of color via the web that I can on my screen at home
Talk about color! on my monitor, it's very rich in color and I love the contrast of the orange and blue. It might need another pass of sharpening? Good post, Stephen!
Whaddya think??? (Not many pixels to work with...)

Artie, I think the tighter crop simplifies the image, makes it a little more abstract, thus delivers better on the color motif. The original has a more sculptural look, reminds me a bit of those massive Michelangelo torsos (no, I am not claiming to be the Michelangelo of photographers, I am still at the paint by numbers stage).
So I like them both, for different reasons. How's that for a cop out!
Stephen
