    Default Yawning Puffin

Another puffin photographed on Machias in harsh light. Fill flash helped a bit. The puffin was yawning and snoozing on this warm summer day.

Well done despite the relatively brutal light... Love the open bill and the perfect head angle.

I like how you were able to capture the corners of the mouth. The thick yellow is nicely displayed. Good details in the black backside too. The eye is visible and apers as if it is looking skyward. A very nice image Axel.

Real nice image, Axel. DId he find you boring, yawning at you? I love the vibrants colors here, and the lovely details in the black feathers.

Those photo sessions are really exhausting for little puffins. Sounds better than the idea that he found me boring. :)

Hello Axel, very nice image of this bird which I havenīt seen in person! Just wonder if the eye could be a bit lighter or this is the color?

Thanks, Juan! I didn't want to lighten it too much because it might look too bright compared with the other parts.

The flash really helped in this harsh light. Looks like you brought out just enough eye detail, but much more would not look right

Nice use of underexposure and fill flash to tame the light Axel. Love the pose and sharpness. Nice one!
