Shot this in July in Phelps, WI at 5:30 am in the fog just as the sun broke over the trees and hit the bird. I was in a slow moving flat bottom boat with the tripod set up. Canon 40D, 300mm 2.8 +2x, AP f8, ISO 320, 1/400.
Nice wing stretch and angle. I wish would have faced you and I might tone down the whites a bit. You can post images up to 800 pixels which makes it easier to comment. Keep them coming!
This one has a lovely feel and mood. Wish that you had captured the wings swept back position... Working right on the light angle would have evened out the EXP.

Very nice image. We do not always have perfect conditions, lighting, angle etc, but your did well. Whites appear to be a little blown and it looks as though the early morning sun was almost catching the edge of your lens.
