Paying around with natural light a bit, from last year, did it work?

Were there something (out of focus) between you and the hummingbird, Nonda? It looks like the wing is largely invisible. Of course part of it is because not enough shutter speed was there to freeze the movement. But it looks to me something is blocking it from our view, too. Composition-wise I think if you crop both sides a bit more it would look OK, too.

Nonda: I like this alot. I especially like the colorful flower and how its' color is reflected on the bird. Good catch light and focus on head. It would have been great if the base of flower had come out of lower right corner, but it is difficult at best to shoot these fast moving birds!

A beautiful capture, Nonda, nice and sharp and I like the diagonal line of the flower. How about a little crop from the top as well? And that looks like only wing blur to me; I'm not seeing what Desmond mentioned.

Hi MR H..Like the crop! Don't really think the whites or light areas on the bird needed toned down, the flowers yes.;)

Nonda Beautiful, I am sure it must be very difficult to shoot those little ones,

Great capture Nonda, sorry that I've not been around for a while. Bird is very sharp and love the composition.

Thanks folks...Really appreciate the crop advice!!! I never know how to crop!

Good to see you back Oscar!

Desmond nothing in the way it is a combo of shutter and the wing position
