Hi Al,
I like this idea a lot - I think that it is a great way to tell a story. I believe that we have a more emotional response to colour in a picture that to most other aspects of composition; the artist is deliberately trying to shift the emphasis of our reaction away from the merely technical. This is why, when colour is used as a motif in literature or film, it can be powerful and unforgettable. Pedro Almodovar's use of red comes immediately to mind.

I like this, I love foggy pictures and I really like that, as simple as it is, it still tells the story.
