I came across this tiny mushroom growing amongst rotting vegetation, not sure what the sticky fluid is.

    Thanks for looking

    Hi Tony,

The sticky mushroom is very interesting and well captured but the background seems to really detract, at least to my eye. It seems way to busy and overwhelms the mushroom.

I've come back to this post several times, because the mushroom is quite interesting to look at, but I also feel that it gets a little lost in the background. Maybe there's a way to make it pop a little? It looks kind of like a very ornate floor lamp in a spooky house with cobwebs.... :)

(hmm that's my 2nd cobweb reference in 2 days....)

    Hi Amy

The mushroom itself is really nice but the background is never going to be! The problem is that's where it grows in a damp gloomy spot under a log. The "cobwebs' are part of the fungal system and not webs at all.
    Many thanks for looking.

    Tony
